Common Spanish words with audio
50 basic Spanish words, each with its article, gender and IPA, a recording of the word, and a full sentence read aloud. Tap a play button to hear a word, or open it for the sentence, a grammar note and a way to remember it.
Every word here is a card from Verbamor's Spanish Essentials deck: the same picture, the same two recordings, and the sentence the card quizzes you on. The IPA shows Latin American pronunciation. Where Spain says a z, or a c before e or i, like the th in think, the word's page gives that version too.
Learning the article with the noun saves you guessing later: el día ends in -a and is still masculine. For what a good card holds, and why the order you learn words in matters, read the Spanish flashcards guide.
