If you're writing about a bug, tell us what you were doing, what happened, and which iPhone you're on. That usually saves a round trip.
Billing and cancelling
Apple handles all billing for Verbamor, so subscriptions are managed in your iPhone settings rather than in the app.
Open Settings, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, then Verbamor. From there you can switch plans, turn off auto-renew, or cancel. Cancelling keeps your access until the end of the period you've already paid for.
You can also get there from inside the app: open the plan sheet on the Today screen and tap through to manage your subscription.
For a refund, Apple is the one who can issue it. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple Account. If Apple turns you down and you think that's wrong, write to us and we'll take it up from our side.
The free trial
Native, the annual plan, starts with 7 days free. Explorer, the monthly plan, doesn't have a trial.
The trial converts to a paid year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. We send a reminder before that happens, and cancelling during the trial costs you nothing. Cancel the same way you'd cancel anything else: Settings, your name, Subscriptions.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app. Open the plan and settings sheet on the Today screen and choose to delete your account. It removes your profile, your decks, your review history, and your recordings.
Deleting your account doesn't cancel your Apple subscription, because Apple owns that side of it. Cancel the subscription first, then delete the account, or you'll keep getting billed for something you can't reach.
Restoring a purchase
New phone, or reinstalled the app? Sign in with the same Apple or Google account you used before and your subscription comes back with you. If it doesn't, there's a Restore purchases option at the bottom of the plan screen. If that still doesn't do it, email us with the Apple Account you bought on and we'll sort it out for you.
Cards, audio, and languages
A card is taking a while to appear. Cards are built after you save a word, and the images and audio come in behind the text. Give it under a minute and pull to refresh. If a card is still bare after that, send us the word and the language and we'll go looking.
Audio isn't playing. Verbamor plays through the silent switch on purpose, so that's not it. Check your volume, and check whether your iPhone has quietly connected to headphones or a car. If a specific card is silent while others work, it may still be finishing its audio, so give it a minute. If it's still silent, tell us which card and we'll rebuild the audio for it.
Which languages can I learn? Spanish, French, Italian, and Portuguese today, with more coming. The app's own interface is in English.
Does it work offline? Reviewing does. Building new cards from a recording needs a connection, since that work happens on our servers.
Focus Guard
Focus Guard blocks apps you choose until you've finished studying for the day. It's off until you turn it on, you pick which apps, and calls, messages, and emergency services always get through.
It runs on Apple's Screen Time system, which asks permission once. If you said no the first time and want to change your mind, iOS won't ask again, so you'll need to delete Verbamor and reinstall it, then allow Screen Time access.
Privacy and your data
What we collect and why is spelled out in the Privacy Policy. The short version: your recordings and notes are sent to AI services to build your cards, and they're yours to delete whenever you want. The Terms of Service cover the rest.

Still stuck
Email support@verbamor.com. No phone tree, no bot in the middle, no canned reply that answers a question you didn't ask. You get someone who knows the app properly, and we stay on it until you're unstuck.
